Custom pneumatic sealing
Inflatable Seals for Engineered Equipment
Inflatable seals expand on demand to bridge uneven clearances, then retract for opening, cleaning and product changeover.
- Materials
- Silicone / EPDM / NBR
- Geometry
- Custom profiles and closed rings
- Built for
- Doors, hatches and process equipment
The operating sequence
Clear when moving. Sealed when working.
The seal remains protected inside its groove until the equipment reaches position. Regulated air then moves the profile into contact.
- 01
Retract
Keep the profile clear while a door or container moves.
- 02
Position
Close or align the equipment before the seal receives air.
- 03
Inflate
Expand in the designed direction to contact the mating surface.
- 04
Release
Exhaust air and confirm retraction before the next movement.

Material review
Choose from exposure, not color.
Silicone
Often reviewed for temperature flexibility and clean processing needs.
EPDM
Often considered for water, weather and selected cleaning environments.
NBR
Commonly evaluated where resistance to oils is relevant.
Compatibility must be confirmed for the proposed compound and actual operating conditions.
Applications
Built for the interface.
